Equipping Orientations

Evangelistic Orientation

An evangelistic orientation communicates the good news of Jesus in ways people outside the faith can genuinely understand, question, and engage.

Orientations based on Ephesians 4:11-13. These describe how you may contribute to developing and equipping others. They never assign a church office or title.

Creation to restoration

Its place in the Bible's one story

God created humanity to know Him, represent His wise rule, and help others flourish. Sin scattered and distorted that calling, but God formed a covenant people and promised a renewed people who would know Him. Jesus gathered and trained disciples, inaugurated God's Kingdom, and gave His life to create one new people. The risen Christ now gives grace to His church so believers mature and participate in His mission until the whole creation is renewed under His reign.

This orientation keeps the church outward-facing and helps believers speak about Jesus clearly, honestly, and appropriately across cultural distance.

Recognizing it wisely

Fruit includes faithful witness and equipping others, not merely visible decisions. Healthy evangelism listens, honors freedom, avoids manipulation, and trusts the Spirit with outcomes.
